If you believe there is water leaking from your CleverSpa® liner due to a puncture or seam failure, please follow the below steps to try and remedy the problem. If you are looking to purchase a replacement liner, please contact us.
General advice
If you find a hole in your liner (that is the size of a 10p piece) that is located underneath your CleverSpa®, please understand that this is not a puncture or a tear. This hole is intentionally in the base of the liner to allow trapped air to escape. to try and prevent air bubbles from appearing.
If you are experiencing a water leak from your CleverSpa®, it is most likely that there is a puncture to the floor of the spa or inner wall of your liner, causing it to escape from underneath the CleverSpa®.
If the CleverSpa® has water leaking into the walls, please empty your CleverSpa®. Once this is done, pour the excess water out via the black inflation valve (remove the black valve completely). This may require two people. Once the CleverSpa® is completely deflated, manoeuvre it to remove the last of the water from the black inflation valve point. Once all the water has been removed, the hole can be repaired.
Are you able to locate the water leak on your liner?
To help locate punctures we recommend mixing washing up liquid and water in a blow and wetting the surface of your CleverSpa® liner. The escaping air should cause visible bubbles making it clear where the puncture is located.
Repairing a puncture to your liner
A puncture can be fixed, by using the puncture repair patches supplied with your CleverSpa®. If you don’t have any repair patches, you can buy replacements by clicking here. If the puncture cannot be fixed, you may need to purchase a replacement liner. Please note that punctures are not covered by the warranty.
We recommend that you attempt a puncture repair when your CleverSpa® is empty and inflated. If the puncture is quite large, you should keep the pump on while you make the repair to avoid it deflating before you can apply the repair patch.
Ensure the surface you are repairing is clean and dry before applying the repair patch. We recommended using Loctite® Super Glue (not supplied with repair patches). Trim the repair patch to the required size, ensuring it is large enough to completely cover the puncture. Apply the glue directly to the rough side of the repair patch and carefully stick it in place. Leave the patch and glue to set for at least 10 minutes before filling your CleverSpa® with water.
Are you unable to locate/repair the puncture to your liner?
As previously mentioned, punctures aren’t covered under warranty. If you’re unable to locate or repair the puncture, we may be able to sell you a replacement liner (subject to availability). Please contact us if you are interested in purchasing a new liner.
