If you’re having problems with your CleverLink® or WiFi connection, please follow the below steps to try and remedy the problem.
Please note: You will need to "allow location" in order for the CleverLink® app to work.
This is due to the fact that Google defines the WiFi network name as a location data point, so the app cannot access the WiFi network name when the location is disabled.
General advice
Your device must be connected to the 2.4Ghz network band during the pairing process for it to complete. For advanced troubleshooting advice regarding WiFi connection issues, please click here.
Please note that some Vodafone customers may not be able to revert their router to the 2.4Ghz bandwidth. For more information regarding this please call Vodafone on 03333040191.
If you're having trouble pairing your CleverSpa® CleverLink App, this may be due to low signal strength.
Try relocating your router so it's nearer to your CleverSpa®. The closer it is, the better your wireless signal will be.
Wi-Fi signals can be affected by various sources such as other wireless routers, cordless phones, microwaves etc. Try to keep electrical appliances away from your router.
How the pairing process works
1. During the pairing process, your Cleverlink app will search for your CleverSpa’s Wi-fi connection.
2. Holding down the CleverLink Button on the Control panel will put your CleverSpa® into pairing mode,
creating a temporary network for the App to link to.
3. The CleverLink App will then securely send the network details to the Hot Tub to enable it to connect.
4. The Hot Tub will then link to the network and be ready to receive commands.
5. Commands can now be sent from the App to the Hot Tub, provided both have an active internet connection.
Tips to improve the WiFi connection
If you're still having connection problems pairing your CleverSpa®, here are some tips for Improving the wireless signal:
Change the Wireless Channel
Most wireless routers will automatically detect the best channel to broadcast on, but you can search for less congested channels which provide a clearer signal. Follow directions on your router or contact your service provider for assistance with this.
Update Your Router’s Firmware
Manufacturers sometimes release Firmware updates that can improve the performance of your router. Consult your router’s manual to find out exactly what to do.
Get a Wi-Fi Range Extender or Repeater
A Wi-Fi range extender or home wireless mesh system can help boost your Wi-Fi signal. A Wi-Fi extender is perfect in a home where the Wi-Fi signal is weak.
CleverTip: You can still operate your CleverSpa® using its built-in soft-touch control panel, so you can enjoy your CleverSpa® while you wait for your range extender to arrive.

If following our troubleshooting instructions has not resolved the problem and you have a valid warranty, we can bring your CleverSpa® in for repair. If you haven’t already, you can register your warranty by visiting: CleverCompany.com/support/warranty.
If your warranty is valid, please provide images/a video of the following:
- Power source - plug & socket
- Proximity photos in relation to the position of the spa to the house
- Hot Tub setup
- Condition of the hot tub
- Receipt/proof of purchase
