If you believe the walls of your CleverSpa® liner are bulging, please follow the below steps to try and remedy the problem. If you are looking to purchase a replacement liner, please contact us.
General advice
If your CleverSpa® liner wall or top rim is bulging or oversized, this is caused by over-inflation or air inside the walls expanding due to being exposed to excessive direct sunlight. When the air is heated up by the sun, it puts additional stress on the internal welds which can lead to a weld failure.
Ensure your CleverSpa® is covered and is not used in direct sunlight, as instructed in the CleverSpa® manual - https://clevercompany.com/support/manuals.
How do I know if my spa is bulging/has oversized walls?
If your CleverSpa® is correctly inflated it will look similar to the one on the left, in the below image. The CleverSpa® on the right is an example of an extremely oversized liner.
How can I prevent my CleverSpa® from bulging further?
It is perfectly safe to use a CleverSpa® hot tub that has a bulging wall or is oversized, however, we suggest releasing a small amount of air to allow for some increase when the weather is hot. Carefully loosening the deflation valve a small amount will allow slow release.
Please note that the liner will not go back to its previous shape. Only inflate your CleverSpa® to 90-95% capacity, especially during warm/hot weather. The liner should still be soft to the touch, to allow for air expansion.
Important information
If any damage is caused by over-inflation or direct exposure to sunlight, this would not be covered under warranty. It is possible for the liner to be replaced and we may be able to sell you a replacement liner (subject to availability). please contact us so we can arrange this for you.
