If your water is looking green or cloudy and you would like help, please read the below information.
Have you been treating your CleverSpa® with chemicals?
It is important you regularly monitor and treat the water in your CleverSpa® to avoid bad odours, discolouration and to extend the life of the water. Hot tubs CAN harbour bacteria when not treated correctly.
If you would like further advice on what chemicals are needed to maintain a healthy hot tub, please read: What chemicals do I need for my CleverSpa®?.
Is your water looking green?
Are you using sufficient sanitiser (Chlorine)? You can check this using test strips. You may want to purchase the CleverSpa® Starter Kit if you are in need of both chlorine and test strips.

Do your test strips show a normal reading despite the water being green?
Has your CleverSpa® been left uncovered when not in use? This can promote algae growth. Please use a cover when possible. If you would like to purchase a replacement cover, please click here.
Is your water still green or cloudy?
Please ensure that you are regularly shocking your hot tub. If you would like help doing this, please follow our Shock Dose Guide. You may also find the CleverSpa® Maintenance Manual useful. Our Algaecide and Clarifier should help restore your water back to normal.
You may need to change or clean your filter, to help the water return to normal. Please read the Clever tip below for the best way to keep your filter clean. There is also an instructional video, which shows you how to change your filter.
If the water in your CleverSpa® is 4 to 5 weeks old and green or cloudy, we recommend that you drain your hot tub and refill it with new water.
